It's been a while

It's been at least 7 weeks since I put thumbs to tablet, to long really, I should have delved into my memory banks and recounted a few things, funny, sad or just plain entertaining, but I have trouble remembering what I did last week, never mind 45 years of match fishing, I had no chance, good to see a few that did but I think they must have kept some sort of written record, well done them.
Premier angling has been shut for the seven weeks so it was good to get back on Wednesday, not a normal opening , mostly pre ordered and served over a lasting table at the gate, got to be said it was fairly manic, so big thanks to all our customers old and new who have made the last few days memorable, massively appreciated by all at premier angling, the only thing moaning is my feet, a bit sore but I'll survive. And everyone who did come to the shop did there bit for social distancing.thank you all.
Not feeling the pleasure fishing bit to much, I love my match fishing and just to sit by a lake and catch loads of carp or silvers with nothing on the end of it isn't floating my boat, I'm sure match fishing will be back soon enough though in some shape, time will tell.
So I decided to try a bit of sea fishing , so with Judith in tow we headed down to Burnham on sea to fish lower light over low water on Saturday evening, Steve ace did tell me that the mid May be a bit bad , especially around the mid ride range on the beach, he wasn't wrong, but it was just as bad at the waters edge,

but I was fully expecting to catch some small congers with the chance of a ray. I
But it wasn't to be , we fished 2 1/2 hours down and an hour up for one missed bite each,  it at least we observed social distancing with the other beach users as the video shows.I

The slog back up The beach was a bit torrid, I only had to rescue Judith twice lol.
So Sunday and we decided to have another go, so a quick call to see anglings local star Steve ace for advice where to go and he advised clevedon , in front of the band stand or in front of the salthouse pub, failing that the slipway up at Severn beach, checked out the two marks at clevedon, but the place was buzzing with people so thought a quick jaunt up to Severn beach it was then, finally got there after a slight detour into wales, don't ask. But again it was impossible to find a parking spot, anywhere, so again a quick call to Steve and he advised us to go and have a go on the river under the m5 bridge, which we did and this is where my day for even worse with Judith tearing me a new one catching 3 small codling and a small conger to my lone codling, she is relentless, (pheramones)

Nothing large but at least a few fish and a few missed bites aswell, and no mud so win win then, may give it another go in the week.
