Avalon

Took a cheeky little trip to avalon today, fancied catching some bream especially as there have been plenty caught there this winter, but as it has had a lid on it for a few days i was possibly going to struggle, settled on peg 6 as i coulbnt be assed to go any further, i should have gone on the other bank to be honest as from about peg 39 to the top of the lake there has been a parking space put behind every swim, all very good. Peg 6 looked nice,
I set up one rig for maggot over groundbait at 5 and 11 mtrs, a pellet rig for 14 mtrs, and a waggler for pellet on the deck 3/4 the way over to the island. i started on the short line, but never had a bite there, so no more about that, most of my fish came.from the 11 mtr line on maggot , i had a couple on pellet at 14 mtrs as well as 2 on maggot over the same line, and one bream on 8mm pellet on the wag, not to many bites , probably missed three bites and lost two bream, i ended up with 14 bream up to 4lb, one big hybrid which was my smallest fish, but it was still over 2lb, and my last fish was a carp of aboit 8lb, not to bad , no bites from any small fish whatsoever, very strange considering how many roach and small skimmers are in the lake, the bream are of a vwry good size with several going about 4lb, so i probably had 35/40lb of bream and the solitary carp, good fishing considering how cold it has been.
I had a near death experience when i lifted my net out , the wooden support along the front of the platform broke, luckily my boots have metal studs on the bottom, which save me from slipping in, obviously this lock down has done nothing for my waistline LOL 😂😂😂😂😂.
