Silverfox windmill open

With no cafe open it was a stop at maccy d for a cardboard breakfast, it nearly fills a gap but thats as good as it gets. Got to the fishery to find mark tanner doing the donkey work organising the pools and draw with mike nicholls assisting at a social distance, when my name was called out mike pulled out peg 7 for me, which is the gap between the islands, ok but a bit to far down the lake today. Any way i got to the swim and found a piece of tackle left behind by yhe previous angler to fish this peg but its ok i know who owns it and i will ensure gary etheridge gets his rod rest back as soon as i see him again.
any way inwas soon set up, a rig for maggot short (never had a bite). Another for caster or maggot over groundbait at 1 o'clock angle, and the same float and rig to fish over micros at 11 o,clock angle both at 9 mtrs with various hookbaits, the last rig.was.for corn over corn at 13 mtrs straight out.
It took me 90 minutes to get a fish and that was a lost fouled carp over the micros, then i had a waspy perch over the groundbait, that was the only over that line, then i had a small roach over the micros followed by a 5lb carp, it was proving a difficult ome today with the silvers not playing ball at all, i did get 7 carp on corn on the longer line which i thought may just sneak 40lb, i thiught i had done ok but as expected the other end fished better with kev winstone winning off peg 25 with 80lb, catching on corn at 14 mtrs, 2nd was gary bowden on peg 2 with 72lb catching his fish dobbing bread against the reeds at 17 mtrs, the silvers went to dave poole on 18 with a lowly 3lb, the venue has loads of silvers but the cold snap must have had an adverse effect on them, winners of each pictures below, for thise who dont know kev is the fat one on the right, who i would like to thank for helping with the weigh in, oh no i forgot you weren't quite ready but said you would catch up and help, luckily martin mcmahon was there to help 😂😂😂😂😂.
