Not long now

Only a week to go now until we can start match fishing again, i for one am really looking forward to it, i know there have been some venues histing matches, but that is there risk along with the anglers attending, i will be hinest and admit to attending couple during the second lock down, although i enjoyed it, i will own up to feeling a just a little bit uncomfortable doing it, and during this last lockdown i have been pleasure fishing on some "local" venues, i dont feel as i am causeing a threat to anyone as i travel alone, fish alone then go home, no doubt a few covid police who read this may have a different opinion, which is fine as we live in a country where free speech is encouraged, that is unless a snowflake or woke doesnt agree , but i find it more worrying that ypu can do your shopping at any of the big supermarket,s with hundreds of people, with no social distancing being employed, with the majority of these stores not ensuring this happens, perhaps it would be a good idea for there to be random checks on these large shops, i know of some small businesses who have had visits to to make sure the customers and staff are being suitably controlled to ensure the safety of all visiting these shop's, but i havent heard of the supermarkets being checked, also why are some shoppers not wearing masks , surely if you are exempt there doctor should have issued them with the suitable document to prove exemption, and to be honest for the short time people are in the shops a mask would help protect those who need protecting from this terrible virus, not about the money is it 😏. And then we move onto last weekends disgusting behaviour in bristol when a small contingent of oxygen thieves caused huge problems in the city centre, i have an opinion on it but as most right minded people do so no more to say 😤. Ive had some nice days lonely fishing, last day was yesterday when i visited a fishery which is named after a seed which grows into the mighty oak , ive had a lovely day catching tench and a few skimmers on topset and one just loose feeding maggot with double on the hook, ended up with half a pound short of 50lb, and 35lb of carp aswell,
Park behind the peg and catch quality fish, how good is that. Last week i visited another local venue named after a famous cornish landmark, the new owners have been very busy during lockdown installing new platforms on lakes one and two, (speci and match)
, also a lot of bank clearing, it all looks nice and tidy, and the fish are feeding well, last visit i sat on peg 11 and had a bout 8lb of the small tench and new f1,s on maggot at 5mtrs, got bored with that then fished for carp and had 17 or 18 on meat , Before that again i had a couple of visits to another local venue which bears the same name as a roxy music hit beginning with the letter A, caught some lovely bream to over 4lb.
